Come on bike ride with me?

What a great idea I thought when Martin emailled me with Happy New Year wishes and news that he'd taken delivery of new Electric Bikes, I'd like to test drive one!
So I gathered some friends for our B&B Group and Martin from Marshwood Trails met us at Cardsmill Farm near Whitchurch Canonicorum on a very very cold and frosty morning.  We layered up!  2 pairs of trousers, 2 pairs of socks, coats, woolly gloves, balaclavas, and looking like michelin men , helmets on and Trish in her riding hats, got the picture?, we mounted our bikes and headed out!
We cycled a 10 mile circuit not stopping once to get to the top of any of the hills enroute. Such fun and the sun shone along the way, we stopped off at Gerrards Farm for welcome refreshments, cheers! and admired the amazing views from Chris's farm. How lucky are we to live in West Dorset amidst the green gentle valleys of the Marshwood Vale, it's a peaceful patchwork of working farms, remote farmhouses, fields of sheep grazing and in the distance the sea, Golden Cap and Colmers Hill. We were all locals but if you aren't then Martin has lots of local knowledge and a love of nature and all things Dorset which he's very happy to share.
We loved the electric bikes and will be recommending a day out in the great outdoors with Martin to our guests.  Easy to use, comfortable seating and the assistance up the hills was great allowing us to travel further with the opportunity to check out gardens, houses along the way and really see what's going on!
Thank you to Sue for a delicious lunch on our return, gosh we were hungry, and my cheeks glowed rosie for ages after!
PS No aches or pains next morning!
PPS Martin also offers Geocaching, it's the modern day version of a good old fashioned treasure trail and I'm sure the children would love it!
