This weekend our cottage guests Neil and Morag got engaged!
For 6 years they have courted, not easy with one living in Southsea and the other in Tiverton and miles and hours travelling along the A35!
Neil climbed Morag to the top of Colmers Hill and with the whole of the Marchwood Vale beneath them he took the champagne from his rucksack filled the glasses, played their special music and got down on one knee.
It rained but who cares and only the sheep as witnesses.
Then back to our lovely pub The Ilchester Arms to be toasted with the help of the Landlord, some locals and a cellist! Morag said yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How romantic, so pleased everything went to plan and we wish Neil and Morag a very happy and exciting future togather and hope they will be back on an anniversary to visit Colmers Hill. It's holds a special place in our hearts and to many others too.
