The Little Book of Dorset............

I  love this Little Book of Dorset. I'm a Dorset girl, and I was amazed by some of things that were in the book.
I think you'd like it too.
Dorset Cereal sell them on the online shop, and every book they sell they donate £1 to the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.  Well done. http://www.dorsetcereals.co.uk/  Love their museli's!

and a thank you to friend Suzie for her mention on her Fudges Blog,  her writings are such fun and there's often a recipe or two. On this blog she's mention the Felt-making Workshop here at Highway Farm and the recipe for a German Herman friendship cake.  She brought the cooked cake with her and we all agreed it was delicious, and of course she brought some mixture for me to continue the friendship cake.................
I made the cake for Easter Sunday,  Sue will be pleased to know! A guest left today with a tub of mixture, and friends Jane and Sally, B&B ladies, both got a pots too!

We are rushed off our feet here at the bakery; our most popular biscuits last month were our famous Cheddar Wafers and Dark Chocolate Florentines, these were certainly a hit with my fellow students at Highway Farm last Saturday. My friend Jane very arty but all her talking gets us into trouble!

Felt making is such great fun, if you’ve never had a go, you must. Once you’ve mastered the technique (Dennie is a fab teacher) you can create beautiful scarves made from Merino wool and silk chiffon, which you can then enjoy embellishing. What I love is that you never really know how your creation will turn out until the end! Here’s the scarf I made from Saturday; I have since added some beads and buttons to it.
