Well it does! You don't have to travel to Wales, you can hear music in our Dorset valleys too.
The Casterbridge Male Voice Choir performed beautifully, and with great joy at a recent concert to celebrate the successful fund raising conclusion to the BOOST APPEAL at Dorchester Hospital.
The Appeal was set up to raise money to provide the hospital with new digitial mammagraphy equipment and it was completed in 14 months because of the wonderful response from local people and with fantastic lady,Wendy Nightingale, at the helm.
John and I were invited along because of the brilliant Xmas Wreath workshops held here last Xmas which allowed us to contribute.
You'll be pleased to know that the scanner will be operational by mid May in the newly refurbished breast assessment unit and the diagnosis of breast cancer will be faster and more accurate, treatment will start earlier and more lives will be saved.
Wonderful local effort. Well done all.
