Amazing support despite to damp weather! Our
Father's Day Breakfast Brunch was a great success and so well supported.
The Big raffle was a great success, well worth
doing, Babygear paid for the printing, and we very nearly sold all the tickets!
1st prize £300 Luxury Food Hamper was won by
Heath Thresher from the Vauxhall Garage and he was delighted.
We had terrific support and wonderful local
food donations for our lovely cake stall and the big Raffle and I'd like to say a very big thank you to everyone.
And what a great team of jolly helpers,
our friends, neighbours and family members who all worked so well to make the
Breakfast Brunch a great success we raised an amazing
£3000 for Prostate Cancer and Cancer
Research.
The food was delicious and lovingly cooked and served by the men. Leakers very kindly
donated all the bread rolls, and Balsoms, Denhay and Bob Huxter supplied at cost
price.
Brilliant and such fun!
A new venue for our 6th big breakfast this
year so it took a little working out! Thank you to The Symene Cricket Club who
kindly lets us have it free of charge, it was a great location and seating
inside the Pavilion for 80 worked so well as it was raining.
Walkers arrived to walk the walk to Colmers
Hill, and I'm sure it the weather had been nicer there would have been
more....thank you to Jane W for arranging and again to Jane, Marilyn and Sue for
leading Walks.
Sadly lacking a
voice the morning after but my very grateful thanks to everyone involved, and
please forward onto to anyone who helped or donated on
anyway.
and a special mention to my grandchildren Dan
and Hannah, and Sylvia's Mum for folding all the raffle tickets and to Jane
Warren, she was my right hand woman, and finally our
long suffering husband's John & David who really enjoyed themselves on the
day!
